NCLEX Flashcards App

The NCLEX is a recall marathon. Brainfy turns your own nursing notes and review-book PDFs into spaced-repetition flashcards, so you spend your hours testing yourself instead of rewriting. Build your own decks, import existing ones, or browse community-shared sets.

Build NCLEX cards from material you already have

Brainfy does not ship a pre-made, verified NCLEX bank. Instead it helps you turn the content you are already studying into cards fast: paste notes, upload a chapter PDF, or snap a photo of a review-book page and the AI drafts question-and-answer cards from it. You can also import your existing Anki or Quizlet decks, or pull from community-shared sets other students have published.

Because the cards come from your source, they match your program and your review book. Always verify clinical facts against your source and curriculum before you trust a card.

Cloze deletions for drugs, labs, and values

NCLEX leans hard on numbers: normal lab ranges, drug doses, vital-sign thresholds. Cloze (fill-in-the-blank) cards are ideal here. Hide the potassium range or the digoxin therapeutic level and recall it cold, rather than passively recognising it on a multiple-choice list. Brainfy supports cloze alongside basic and Q-and-A cards in the same deck.

How to build your NCLEX deck

1

Add your source

Paste class notes, upload a review-book PDF, or photograph a textbook page. OCR reads the photo for you.

2

Let the AI draft cards

It pulls facts from your material rather than inventing them, then you edit anything before it lands in the deck.

3

Add cloze for numbers

Turn key labs, doses, and ranges into fill-in-the-blank cards so you recall the value, not just recognise it.

4

Review on the SM-2 schedule

Spaced repetition resurfaces weak cards sooner and lets mastered ones fade, with new cards capped per day.

Spaced repetition built for high volume

Brainfy uses an SM-2 spaced-repetition engine: cards you miss come back quickly, cards you know stretch further out, and a daily cap on new cards keeps a 400-card chapter from burying tomorrow. Pair it with the built-in Pomodoro timer and weekly planner to keep a steady pace in the weeks before test day.

Frequently asked questions

Does Brainfy include a ready-made NCLEX question bank?

No. Brainfy is a tool to build and study your own cards, plus import existing decks and browse community-shared ones. It does not ship a verified expert NCLEX bank, so always verify clinical facts against your source and curriculum.

Can I turn my review book into flashcards?

Yes. Upload the PDF or photograph the pages and the AI drafts cards from the text, with OCR handling images. Every card is editable before it enters your deck.

Why use cloze cards for the NCLEX?

Cloze (fill-in-the-blank) cards force active recall of exact values like lab ranges and drug doses, which is far stronger than recognising them on a list. Brainfy supports cloze in any deck.

Can I import my Anki or Quizlet NCLEX decks?

Yes. Paste or upload CSV, tab-separated, Anki plain-text, or Quizlet exports and they slot straight into the spaced-repetition schedule. You can export back to CSV too.

Is it free?

Yes, free during beta with no deck limits, no ads, and a privacy-first approach.
